ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book aims to cover different aspects of the matter within an interdisciplinary framework discussed in any field of social sciences and other disciplines. It presents theoretical approaches to the issue, provides a broader perspective, exemplifies different cases from different countries in different chapters, and proposes analyses of technological approaches to fighting against false information. The book focuses on the subjects who are targeted by misinformation and fake news through different case studies. It examines how the lack of information in traditional and new media environments affects people's perception of current issues in different countries. The book tackles the common problems and introduces some further solutions regarding the misinformation and its impact on people.
