ABSTRACT

As a result of digitalization and other advances in technology, sustainability has emerged as the most important factor in determining the quality of the future. The most significant risk that humanity faces is climate change. Big data, the Internet of Things, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Society 5.0 all depend on technology and automation to make life smarter. The success of home-based employment throughout the industrial revolution contributed to overall economic growth. The Industrial Revolution 5.0 was ushered in by COVID-19. Industry 5.0 makes use of the metaverse in order to advance the cause of environmental and social sustainability. We need computerized seed and fertilizer lab testing in order to achieve maximum agro-economic efficiency. In order to make agriculture more enjoyable, we need an agro-school that promotes international cooperation and employs agro-scientists. To combat the lack of electricity and water, we also require cutting-edge technologies for renewable energy sources. Wind energy and wave energy may find fertile ground in coastal settings. We require air-floating energy chambers so that we can increase energy storage, usage, and the protection of the environment. Management of the supply chain, economic growth, and the long-term viability of renewable energy are all dependent on logistics. The Industrial Revolution 5.0 fosters solutions that are greener, more cost-effective, and more sustainable, which ultimately leads to less waste and more sustainable management of trash. Technologies such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, big data, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things will help slow global warming and encourage sustainable economic growth.
