ABSTRACT

This chapter draws upon empirical evidence from the primary classroom which explores the ways in which technology-based practices can enhance the teaching and learning of English and mathematics. Examples of leading-edge practice in primary classrooms are presented and a range of tools are considered, including mobile devices, video collaboration, and web-based technologies, as well as Quick Response [QR] codes. This chapter provides practical guidance on planning and organising technologies to support teaching and learning in English and mathematics. This chapter enables the reader to use a range of online resources and tools to enhance the teaching of English and mathematics, to incorporate technologies into lessons, to support creativity, and then to apply approaches (including those learned during the pandemic) to enrich classroom-based environments using a range of technologies.
