Introduction

Haney’s reason for writing The Intimacy Coordinator’s Guidebook: Specialties and Competencies for Stage and Screen, and prepares the reader for what the book contains. It explains the collaborative nature, and that the focus will be on different specialities and competencies. Haney mentions that the book is only an introduction to these different categories. The introduction includes a breakdown of who the book is written for, notes on how to read the book, and a brief description of vocabulary regarding intimacy professionals.
