ABSTRACT

There are special dramaturgical considerations when presenting queer sex. This section focuses on choreographing T4T, lesbian sex and queer male sex. In the T4T section, Leo Mock and Raja Benz describe setting the tone, as well as gender-affirming and modesty garments. In the lesbian sex section, Brooke M. Haney writes about historical considerations, positions and other considerations. In the queer male sex section, Robbie Taylor Hunt highlights the importance of questioning heteronormative assumptions around anal sex, including unrealistic details with regards to lubrication, other sex acts, douching/diet, positions, sexual positioning roles (i.e. bottom/top/vers) and the receptive partner's orgasm. All of the sections include discussion of choreographic considerations, and the chapter ends with a list of resources.
