ABSTRACT
The field of intimacy coordination seeks to expand the traditional definition of safety (prevention of physical bodily harm or death) to include the prevention of emotional harm. We believe we do not need to traumatize people in order to tell stories of trauma. In this chapter, Amy Northup will discuss some considerations for approaching scenes of sexual violence, sexual assault and non-consent.
