ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses intimacy and dance. Much of the content comes from a conversation between Brooke M. Haney and Sarah Lozoff, the first intimacy director at American Ballet Theatre and resident intimacy director for RudduR Dance. The two talk about navigating boundaries in dance, the rehearsal process, the importance of communication and the difference in academic dance. The chapter includes thoughts from Britta Joy Peterson and Nicole Perry. Perry specifically highlights academic and studio dance.
