ABSTRACT
In this chapter, Ann James and Brooke M. Haney discuss the creation and training of an intimacy captain (ICap), a specific competency an actor can develop. The chapter details what the ICap does in rehearsals, at tech and during runs. The chapter also describes the training an ICap should go through, and what makes a good ICap. James and Haney offer the ICap as a stepping stone for those looking to further their role as an intimacy professional.
