ABSTRACT
This chapter not only highlights and describes the importance of active imagination as the “special legacy” left by C.G. Jung to his followers, but also presents the journey that has led to the development of a research on active imagination, carried out by the author between 2021 and 2023 thanks to the support of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the collaboration of some of the most brilliant Jungian analysts from different parts of the world, and distinguished and renowned representatives from the world of Physics, Neurosciences, Art, and Culture. The author presents the different steps of this “pursuit of active imagination,” weaving her personal approach to active imagination to the different stages of the research, based on the hypothesis that active imagination is not widely disseminates, known, and practiced within the international Jungian community. The chapter also presents the content of the two volumes she edited.
