ABSTRACT

In the following chapter, the author will try to imagine how we can improve our own imagination. The hypothesis is that we need to develop an imagination that matches the current demands of reality. The author suggests imagining an imagination that is more operative on reality, more aware of the common root that all the various specialized imaginations and their concrete realizations have, and more fluid in considering time as non-linear. Especially in this last case, an imagination that also welcomes scientific suggestions on the non-linearity of time will be more able to accept the irrational and incomprehensible, as in C.G. Jung’s Active Imagination.
