ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to reflect on experiences of teaching in social worker programs during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Faculty of Social Studies at the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. Methodologically, the chapter is based on a questionnaire survey of (a) social work students who fulfilled their service obligations in 2020 and (b) Ostrava University teachers who participated in the teaching of social work students. The result is a synthesis of knowledge from the lived experiences of students and teachers, the identification of problematic situations, and the formulation of areas for development and recommendations for addressing future possible “crisis situations” in the teaching of social work.
