ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the international empirical literature on social work education during the COVID-19 pandemic and is based on 25 peer-reviewed articles. This book, in general, and the current chapter, particularly, seek to answer the following question: what is the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on social work education? We discuss the need for the social work global community to transition from online emergency learning to an evidence-based model of e-learning. Institutional involvement and support are essential to improve e-learning for students and instructors.
