These works include Juan Carlos Onetti’s Body Snatcher, Ernesto Sábato’s The Tunnel, Clarice Lispector’s The Passion According to G. H., and José Donoso’s The Obscene Bird of Night. With a didactic intent, this study places these masterpieces within their historical contexts, elucidating the intricate interplay of influences that shaped these diverse authors and their narratives. It also investigates the characters crafted by these writers, unveiling how they serve as conduits for exploring the profound complexities of human values within the stark interplay of reality and absurdity.
