ABSTRACT
This article describes the social, political and economic conditions influencing group psychotherapy in post-Soviet Georgia. The author describes the so-called “Post-Soviet phenomena” and considers the following aspects of it: master-slave relationship between the state and the people; nostalgia for the past and idealization of Soviet times; identity crises; biological world view; societal traumas and political-economic conditions.
