ABSTRACT

The North Carolina Teaching and Learning Hubs support full- and part-time faculty and staff educators from North Carolina community colleges in their efforts to build equity into learning and student success. The Hubs are dedicated to creating complementary opportunities for educators to learn about, adopt, test, and scale evidence-based strategies that have been associated with increased equitable student success outcomes across disciplines, covering the diverse landscape of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges, 100 counties, and 22 workforce development zones. This chapter features how the Hubs respond to faculty requests for culturally responsive teaching and advising strategies, faculty-led learning communities of practice, and evidence-based high-impact teaching practices.
