ABSTRACT

Universities are legally required to provide anticipatory reasonable adjustments, meaning that inclusive pedagogies should be embedded within the heart of all teaching and learning to ensure an equitable learning experience for all students. The impact on Learning Developers, as third space practitioners, is that we need to be more diverse in our expertise. This chapter outlines strategies for empowering neurodivergent students through our LD practice, linked to the LD values. Readers will also gain an understanding of the impact of legislation changes on disabled students in higher education, the attainment of these students, and how LD support has evolved for neurodivergent students.
