ABSTRACT
Public interest litigation often concerns human rights violations. As such, these cases raise issues of remedies and accountability, addressed in this chapter. It finds wide-ranging remedies awarded, intended to repair, as much as possible, all the assessable consequences of the harm caused by the violation. Accountability has proven to be the remedy most difficult to implement in practice. Other innovative remedies often creatively address the harm caused.
