ABSTRACT

This chapter explores how psychotherapists can support transformational systemic change in the face of the climate crisis, through an understanding of the connection between inner and outer (environmental) landscapes. It explores unconscious cognitive biases as invisible drivers of climate change, describes the importance of reactivating capacities that may be dormant in us, such as creativity and intuition, and looks at how this understanding can help us grow into our full human capacities to effectively address the existential nature of the climate crisis.
