ABSTRACT

When I discovered wildlife photography, I was astounded to find two things I love the most – wildlife and photography – in one. Behind my house there is a field with a river going through it. There is a variety of animals from foxes to deer to woodpeckers and kingfishers. And in the long grass there are mice scavenging, making it a prime hunting spot for barn owls. On the first day I saw the barn owls there were three of them. A barn owl looks like a wastepaper bag floating on the breeze, flying so silently. I did not get a shot on the first night, but I went back for 20 or so more days and took around 100 shots until I got this photo.
