ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to study the quantitative and qualitative changes in the e-banking market in Poland in present-day conditions, when the digitalization of the economy determines the main trends in the development of not only the financial sector, but also all aspects of human life. General scientific and empirical methods and tools of economic science, methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, summary, and grouping were used in the study. GRETL programming was used to find out the impact of bank digitization on the economic development of the country. Statistical data of the National Bank of Poland, the European Central Bank, and the Polish Bank Association were used to analyse the development of electronic banking in Poland. The general indicators of the development of e-banking in Poland have been analysed. The main trends in the development of internet banking in Poland have been determined. A model of the dependence between the country's GDP and individual indicators of digitalization of the banking sector has been built. The results of the study proved that currently remote banking services in Poland remain poorly developed.
