ABSTRACT
The essay deals with how the philosophical ideas of life, death, meditation, prayer, relationship with god and the material world are dealt with in Guru Granth Sahib in a poetic, aesthetic and artistic manner. The essay details some instances from Gurbani and discussed the symbols, metaphors and other poetic devices that have been extensively and repetitively used in Gurbani.
