ABSTRACT

Sufi poetry is at peace with itself as well as the universe. The Sufi poetic world has neither the hubris and pressure of ruling class, nor the grief and anger of the marginalised. Sufi poetry does not have the kind of critical strain and disapproval that can be found in the works of Guru Nanak. Sufi poetry does not have any sympathy for establishment, nor it is anti-establishment, but it is aware of the grief in the world and indicates about the experiences of the marginalised through its imagery and symbolism.
