ABSTRACT

The essay deals with the analysis of Punjabi diaspora fiction from the perspective of feminine sensibility. Novels and short stories written by prominent Punjabi diaspora writers and focused especially on migrated Punjabi women are analysed from feminist point of view. The portrayal of their relations, emotions and situations has been interpreted to identify their problems, concerns, opportunities and possibilities in the new locations and further to conceptualise the new norms being prevalent in the diasporic construction of Punjabi woman’s identity.
