ABSTRACT

This chapter concludes with some implications and offers direction for future research in the field of CSOs’ public diplomacy campaigns and their impact on sustainable business and development in non-western contexts. It provides new marks by assessing contexts and engaging policymakers with rigorous empirical research in a systematic way, CSOs use public diplomacy tools, practices, campaigns and strategies to overcome both the internal and external challenges they face. It summarises challenges as well as highlights the potential for greater policy engagement for CSO leaders and for them to make great contributions to policy changes, e.g., climate change. It informs about new ideas and direction for future research, particularly around informed practice on the ground, and presents recommendations to policymakers and donors on better ways of providing space for CSO contributions on specific policy issues.
