ABSTRACT
A good assessment process lays a strong foundation for sound and data-informed decision making. The assessment process should be as transparent as possible, and maintaining a blog will surely allow stakeholders to have an instant, working live update. Additionally, blogging about the assessment process will create an archive to use once the process is complete. Performing a SWOT analysis provides the opportunity to look at each portion of our assessment process and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The staff brainstormed the use of small-group review sessions at the end of each training day to further highlight training successes and deficiencies. Last, and perhaps the most impactful opportunity, was using information gathered during training to alter the training while in the progress and to dictate training sessions that would take place during the year. Indeed, the opportunities were plentiful.
