ABSTRACT

Facilitating the adoption and implementation of new learning paradigms that will modify individual teaching and learning practices for example, active learning, assessment, distance learning, and learning-centered teaching became the focus of the instructional development role. A brief overview of the major models of organizational change provides a foundation for analyzing the case study directors use of organizational change processes. According to Kezar, each change model discussed below makes assumptions about the following dimensions of organizational change: sources, level, timing, focus, structure, process, attitude, intentionality, and response time. The value of knowing and applying organizational change models to understand, lead, or influence change lies in becoming skilled in strategically and intentionally taking actions to effectively move change initiatives forward. The existing general education program that the authors have on campus has been here since 1982.
