ABSTRACT

Assessing training and development programs provides essential opportunities to measure whether objectives meet expected learning outcomes. Evaluating these assessments increases awareness regarding whether assessments appropriately measure outcomes. The outcome of the evaluation would provide the reader with the opportunity to make needed updates and adjustments to each respective assessment. As such, it was universally assumed that the process of assessment and evaluation was ongoing. The evaluation plan required the reader to consider the context in which our training was delivered and assessed. The end-of-the-semester evaluation measured the extent to which assessments provided the reader with the data that the people needed. As with any institution, assessment and evaluation plans should be tailored to the specific assessment goals for each advising department. The goal of the evaluation is to help teams determine what needs to be changed to ensure efficacy of the assessment.
