ABSTRACT

This collection was in progress well before the election of Donald Trump to the US presidency. It was produced in light of significant social moments, the emergence of #BlackLivesMatter, Justice for Palestine, and protests against sexual assault on college campuses across the nation, to name a few. This collection felt urgent then, and it feels even more urgent now. The Lemonade, Ferguson and Trump syllabi are clear evidence of a generative move on the part of faculty to become “undisciplined” in the research and teaching praxis and form essential networks that will inspire and inform the knowledge that scholars produce and share in the classroom as teachers. In the same week as the election of Donald Trump, the Facebook group Teaching in the Aftermath was created, and as of January 24, 2017, had 1,492 members.
