ABSTRACT
When I arrived on campus at the University of Michigan (UM), I was certain that I knew exactly what I was interested in studying based on what I had learned in high school. I had it all planned out—I was going to major in psychology in order to become a clinical psychologist. For this, of course, I would need to attend graduate school and that meant one thing: research.
