ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses diversity activities and resources that can produce meaningful and memorable experiences and can be utilized in a variety of disciplines. It provides descriptions of what students have identified as the most engaging, enlightening, and transformative activities. These brief activities are ideal for introducing diversity concepts or using diversity content to assist group members in getting acquainted with one another. Diversity Bingo is played much like traditional Bingo. Participants are given a Bingo card that has descriptors in each of the boxes. The game is intended to create greater sensitivity to individual experiences and differences and to provide an opportunity to get to know fellow participants. Students participate in a semester-long blog or journal related to diversity issues. The writing prompts ask students to examine the subtle effects of racism or other types of bias that exist around in the daily lives.
