ABSTRACT

Educational technologies used to supplement traditional class formats need to include similar statements about what and how comments are posted and the impact such comments may have on others. The teaching activities and assignments are adaptable to a variety of class formats. They are used in Web-based, asynchronous online classes as well as with large statewide interactive television classes (one-way video, two-way audio, in real time); they can also be used in traditional classrooms. Most university administrations and academic departments have begun to recognize that people with disabilities face difficulties similar to those of other minority populations. Bringing diversity into the classroom involves educating our students and raising awareness about disabilities. Assessment and planning classes also have an unsurpassed opportunity to bring the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fourth Edition Text Revision into classrooms via the Internet. However, students may also be learning how to do assessment through problem solving and hands-on exercises.
