ABSTRACT

Scaling ePortfolio initiatives from early implementation toward institutionalization requires system-level strategies that connect individual practices (students and faculty) to larger structures, frameworks, cultural practices and policies that make up the institution. Connecting pedagogy to assessment (and assessment to institutional outcomes), the necessity of effective professional development, and the need to leverage cross-boundary programs such as advisement and first-year experiences: these all speak to the interrelationship between scaling strategies and the institutional and cultural dimensions of high-impact ePortfolio practice.
