ABSTRACT
College students have a lot to offer their community. They have writing, artistic, problem-solving, and organizational skills. These can make a big difference to an organization or project struggling to improve the environment or the lives of people. Knowledge that students gain through academic courses can be put to use while they are still in school (Bringle and Hatcher 1996).
