ABSTRACT
We, the Sister Authors, will promise to push the boundaries of our existence to learn from the past, act on our present and improve our future. We can teach others as our history has taught us. By putting our pens to paper and our voices to action, we can defy all stereotypes put on Black girls by society. As Black girls, we will replace guns with pens and revive the broken spirits within ourselves and our race to break through societal barriers. We, as Black queens, will build kingdoms with our language using the strong identities of our Sisters as pillars of guidance. We are more than enough. Remember, nothing is placed upon us that we cannot handle. We will not allow the chains of injustice to tie us down. We must strive to be the living embodiment of Black excellence. We will juxtapose ignorance with our intellect and fight through our struggles and challenges through the power of words. We are smart and strong and we express our feelings by writing.
