ABSTRACT

A school administrator’s job is crowded with many competing — and timeconsuming — activities. Today’s school administrator is expected to be a change agent, a visionary, a collaborator, a community advocate, an instructional leader, and a researcher and still remain flexible to respond to special projects assigned by the superintendent. It is sometimes a stretch to fit all these roles into a workable package. Service-learning can serve as a vehicle to incorporate the many roles the K-12 administrator is called to play.
