ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to explore the potential uses of MOOCs for adult learning by reviewing the current literature and introducing three cases that have used MOOCs in adult learning contexts. As a useful method for adult learning, MOOCs are reviewed according to the features, related theory, and current state of use. In addition, three MOOCs cases used in adult learning are summarized in terms of context, process, and outcomes. Based on the review, discussion and implications are provided.
