ABSTRACT

The Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Colorado Boulder opened its doors in spring 2020, just as the Covid-19 pandemic and, inter alia, presented unprecedented challenges to students and educators across the globe. Founded in 1876, The University of Colorado Boulder is a Research institution located approximately 30 miles northwest of Denver and nestled among the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Despite all the challenges that faculty faced during this year, participation in activities our Center hosted, often in collaboration with various campus partners, was robust, with over 3000 unique participants in our programming, which, in addition to inclusivity, touched on themes such as promoting wellness and teaching well with technology. The authors believe that Centers for Teaching and Learning can play a vital role in coordinating campus ecosystems of support in a manner that is navigable for faculty with the goal of enhancing student success.
