ABSTRACT
Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a Carnegie-designated doctoral research institution, recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, global engagement, and sense of community. Kennesaw continues to face the challenge of fully engaging its broad, diverse, and growing student body. Students, faculty, and staff are committed to focusing on preparedness, education, and engagement through voter registration and education efforts throughout the KSU community. Kennesaw has expanded voter registration efforts by keeping track of trends and changes to policy in the state. For many years, KSU has posted temporary displays to encourage discussion among students and gather students’ thoughts on various issues. Initiatives like the Democracy Wall at KSU have enhanced political discourse on campus. KSU and the Department of Student Leadership and Service foster an institutional commitment to advancing civic and democratic engagement.
