ABSTRACT
In this chapter, readers will gain familiarity with mobile devices, apps, and social media to provide additional pathways to engage learners in different blended environments. They will also determine factors that influence the selection of specific mobile apps and social media platforms for use in a blended course. The authors provide numerous examples of apps and platforms that would be useful in a blended learning context and guiding questions for faculty and administrators to consider.
