ABSTRACT
This chapter offers an overview of the steps needed to draft effective course goals and learning objectives for a blended course. Templates and instructions are provided, along with examples from a range of disciplines. Examples are also provided of technology-specific learning objectives that might be particularly useful in a blended course environment. The chapter also discusses more recent developments in course design including emergent design, personalized designed, and alternative designs that can be applied to course goals and learning objectives.
