ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses best practices for incorporating active learning activities into a blended course. Specifically, the authors provide tips for incorporating direct instruction and guided inquiry, developing successful discussions, and including metacognitive activities. Templates and guiding questions are also included to help instructors decide which activities they want to offer in a location-based environment and which will be best to move online.
