ABSTRACT
This chapter offers strategies for creating social presence throughout a blended course experience. Readers will determine the importance of social presence, as well as the instructor and students’ respective roles in developing social presence. The authors provide examples of creating social presence in the classroom and virtual environments, tips for fostering social presence, and guiding questions for faculty and administrators to consider.
