ABSTRACT
When I first came to the university, I was uncertain of myself and whether I could succeed. I wondered if I could manage the cultural and social challenges of the academy. I wondered if I could succeed in a way that would make my family and me proud. I often wondered if I was alone in my questions and uncertainty.
