ABSTRACT

We are living in an era of real subsumption. The matrixes of power by which our lives are controlled have been normalized to the point where these forces of power do not even appear to most people as unusual. Hence, a revisiting of critical theory is necessary to open up a discourse of critique. Being clear about what it is that is being critiqued, why, and towards what ends, this paper tries to render the problems of real subsumption visible, insofar as communism is a u-topos rendered actual in a non-totalizing totality.
