ABSTRACT
In June 2019, African heads of state and governments launched in fanfare the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), a “historic” initiative. The Agreement is already in force among many African Union members, and works are currently going on to support its implementation. They are focused on defining the set of rules that each participant’s country will use at customs and on which goods trade should be based.
