ABSTRACT

The past few years, managers have had to deal with unprecedented complexity, volatility, and ambiguity, pushing them to quickly adapt decision-making, challenge leadership, and revise their vision and strategies. Megatrends and forces of change have deep implications for organizations, calling into question current processes and paradigms and setting the stage for future change. This introductory chapter enables the reader to navigate the theoretical framework, following the process of development of studies in the field. It will thus present an overview of the theories and the organization of the book.
