ABSTRACT
‘Delivery of health care’ is a phrase much in vogue. Research carried out a few years ago in Camberwell showed, however, that among people identified by a community survey as having a serious drinking problem, not more than 22 per cent had been in contact with any appropriate help during the previous twelve months. So far as drinking problems are concerned, the delivery men have manifestly not been very successful.
