ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the importance of collaboration among institutional research, academic affairs assessment, and student affairs assessment. More specifically, this chapter discusses organizational learning as a strategy towards institutional effectiveness. First, this chapter explores the role institutional research, academic affairs assessment and student affairs assessment play as key stakeholders for institutional effectiveness. Next, the chapter highlights benefits and challenges of collaboration within organizations. Examples of collaborations across institutional research, academic affairs assessment, and student affairs assessment will be shared. Lastly, the chapter discusses how organizational learning may be used as a framework to develop strategies that advance collaboration among institutional research, academic affairs assessment, and student affairs assessment towards institutional effectiveness.
