ABSTRACT
Our goal in this commentary is to suggest some common themes based on the chapters in this volume and show how social comparison theory has been enlarged by this work. In this discussion we draw linkages to other bodies of social-psychological theory and suggest possible directions for further research. The general question we address is: “How has the body of social comparison research been altered and expanded?”
