ABSTRACT
The Mediterranean is a marine region rich in diversity, yet very dependent on co-operation. It is a region where co-operative marine management is a necessity, but unfortunately the heterogeneity of the littoral states militates against co-operation. Virtually all types of geographical and political complication exist to make marine boundary making a difficult process within the region.
